Each year the men's and women's teams take part in the Eastern University Championships, which is a 3 day competition where we compete against all other Universities in NSW and ACT. This competition selects teams to compete in the Australian University Games (AUG's), which is a week long competition where Universities through out Australia compete. Over the years UTS water polo have achieved outstanding results, with the women's team taking out the GOLD medal at AUG's in 1996 and the GOLD medal at the New Zealand Universities games in 2000 as well as BRONZE at the Eastern Univeristy Games in 2004. The Men's team have also achieved great results with a SILVER medal at the Aust East games in 2000. This year water polo will be contested in the East Coast Challenge in a Fast 5's format, hosted by UNSW in Sydney from July 1st to 4th. Australian University Games will be held in the Gold Coast, from September 23rd to 28th.
